Grasshopper is a plug-in for Rhino. It is a tool for so-called "Algorithmic Modeling" or Algorithm Aided Design (AAD). With the help of "visual scripting", i.e. creating programming code through a graphical user interface instead of directly entering lines of code, it is possible to create highly complex geometries. Such shapes are difficult or extremely time-consuming to create in the traditional way.

Grasshopper Level 1

In the basic course you will get to know Grasshopper as a modeling tool and will then be familiar with the basic principles of AAD. You will create simple patterns and use them to form three-dimensional structures. The mathematical background is explained without going into too much depth.
